Online Safeguarding Training – Thursday 17th September 18:00

ENGLAND, WALES & NORTHERN IRELAND

Created by safeguarding consultants and the British Equestrian Federation, this course will provide you with knowledge of safeguarding and how to respond to a safeguarding concern.

This course explores safeguarding in equestrian settings, utilising real world examples and true stories, and is delivered by RDA UK Safeguarding Trainers.

  • RDA Groups Safeguarding Policy and Responsibilities
  • How you can help prevent abuse
  • How to respond to a safeguarding concern

How is this session delivered?

  • Our virtual tutor-led training course takes place on Zoom.
  • We require you to have a device that has a camera and microphone.
  • It is recommended you sign up to Zoom and agree to the Zoom Privacy Notice in advance to the session.
  • Prior to the event, you can test your internet connection at https://zoom.us/test
  • You will receive the Zoom link via email, one week prior to the course.

This course is for those based in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you are in Scotland, please re-book onto a course specifically designed for Groups in Scotland.

  • All attendees must be 16 years of age or above.
  • We do ask you to confirm your age so the trainer can be made aware and is able to better support young persons. All attendees should be aware that they might find the content disturbing. In light of this, we recommend that attendees aged 16 or 17 have a responsible adult with them.
  • Places are limited, so they will need to be reserved in advance. Please be sure to let us know if you are not going to be able to attend by emailing safeguarding@rda.org.uk
  • There is no charge applicable for RDA volunteers and coaches.
  • All safeguarding officers, coaches and activity leaders must have a current safeguarding certificate.
